Wow, it has been a long time. There was once a time where sitting down to blog was easy to do, but those days are long gone. I have found I have to be much more intentional with my time now, and let’s just say, some days that’s easier than others. But I’m choosing now, one week before Christmas and five weeks before my due date to start making time for this dusty old blog again. The timing seems right, yes? Ha. Maybe not, but it’s fine.
The last time I blogged about my sweet girl, she was just SIX MONTH old, and here we are now, she’s already ten months. To say my mama heart is both broken and bursting at the seams would be a severe understatement. The days go by faster than I can comprehend, and no matter how much I beg, Father Time just doesn’t slow it down.
Alright, enough of my sappy mom stuff. Let’s get to it.
Last time Tatum was at the doctor, it was for her 9 month appointment, but she weighed in at just over 18 lbs and was in the 57th percentile. Her height put her in the 41st, and her head came in at a whopping 93rd%. Although she’s small(er) for her age, I think her thighs and her head are competing to see which one can be the biggest these days.
She now has 8 teeth. Yes, 8. She got her first two between 4 & 5 months, the next two came through around 9 1/2 months, and the next FOUR followed right after. Thankfully, she’s an angel even through teething. The only way I knew she had more teeth coming in was because of all the drool!
This girl is fin-a-lly sleeping through the night. Insert all the praise hands here, because this mama is celebrating! She’s still an early riser, and of course I’m at the point in my pregnancy where I wake up every couple hours to use the bathroom or I just can’t sleep (hello, pregnancy insomnia), but what a Christmas miracle this has been!
She is now crawling like a champ, walking along things, climbing onto anything she can, and still putting everything in her mouth- to include her cardboard books that are now missing most of the corners. Oops. Her favorite game is peak-a-boo, and she loves being scared! Although I’d like to think I’m her favorite person, I’m pretty positive she loves our dog, Hailey, more than anyone else. The squeals that come out of her when Hailey is around are the best.
We are still going strong with doing blw (baby led weaning) for meals. She’s a pretty good eater, but her favorites are usually pasta, pizza, and any kind of fruit. Basically a girl after my own heart. Although she really does well with most foods, including veggies!
It’s so hard to believe that I am already planning her first birthday since it feels like she was just born, but here we are! What a wild ride it’s been.
And now for your viewing pleasure, here are a few of her 10 month pictures 🙂
